Best Victory Conditions? (For Metaverse points)

Not sure if i should be asking this here or in the strategy forum, but...

How are the metaverse points determined for the different victory conditions? I'm at a point in this game were the altarians the torians and i have wiped out all the evil races. We're all friendly with each other, and i have a big military lead and am about to have a big technology lead.

Everythings going my way, so i just need to figure out how exactly i want to win the game, so i figure i might as well go for the method that gets me the most points.

Do you get less points the more turns it takes? I could probably finish it right now with an alliance. Or would i get more points in the long run for sitting through to the tech ending?

In my last game, I won a tech victory and got 900+ points. Then, I went back to a point in the game when I could have won an alliance victory and tried that. It was just 600+ points. Next, I tried for a military conquest victory. By the time I finished cleaning up, I had all techs but the last one. I think the score was within a point or two of the tech victory.

Your score seems to be a reflection of several different components including tech, population, economy and maybe military? I'm kinda wondering if I will have a higher score if I completely maxed out my military production in the last few turns or something.

Anyways, if I were you, I would save at this point and then go for the Tech victory and see what score you get.

Winning via tech seems to give the most points, winning via culture the least.

The size of the galaxy you are playing in affects victory points more than difficulty, and I think more than any other factor, which is a mistake if you ask me.

It seems like difficulty should play the biggest part, then galaxy size, then how you win.
