Bought game but can't install. Please help

I bought the game, put the CD into the drive and the autorun kicked in and I saw the install menu. I could read the readme, and I could see the demo. But when I clicked on Install, my cddrive made some loud odd noises, and it kept on for several minutes and I had to eject the CD. I returned the game for a new disk, but it is doing the same thing. My drive is reading everything else fine, it is a Creative 52x, very new and up to date. Can someone please help? Thanks!

You have your serial Number right?

With your serial # you can just download the game. However, if you have a 56k modem that may not be wise. However, if I remember correctly Stardock Central lets you resume downloads.

If you do this, you won't even need to worry about a CD.

I don't know if this works, I haven't tried it. But maybe you could copy the installation stuff to your hard drive and run from there. That's making a bug assumption that you're able to copy anything off the disk.

reinstall the drivers. A long time ago, my creative 10x did the same thing. wouldn't read a game. I reinstalled the drivers and it worked.
