Everytime I play I learn something new...
I discovered that you can give your ships destinations by r-clicking on the minimap! I've been playing in a large galaxy and sending out scores of ships and always I've been clicking on the ship, then clicking on the minimap to switch the view to a new location, then r-clicking on the big map to give my ship a destination. Last night I accidentally r-clicked on the minimap and it gave my ship a destination to that area! Woohoo! this will save me alot of time and clicks! Now I can just keep my mouse on the minimap and just rclick as each new ship gets focus. Sure, it won't get your ship to the exact square you wanted, but when the move orders take 5-10 turns to get there, that is not very important...
