Will GalCiv beat MOO3 to the market?

This is, of course, a rhetorical question. I just thought everyone would be interested that the MOO3 official release date
has again been slipped, now to 3Q02. (When I first visited the web site late last year, it said 1Q02.)

With any luck (MOO3 slips another quarter or two and Galciv stays on target) GalCiv may just beat MOO3 to the store shelves.

That would be ironic. But I still think they'll come out first. We may move the date back to January for marketing reasons (no point in releasing in November, too late to get shelf space for Christmas).

What is a good date for getting good shelf space for Christmas? Can Galciv ship be moved up enough?
