Anybody using the Library events??

I'm playing my first real game med map & all sub-norm, the first 3 I started I guickly quit because of me being dumb I learned from my mistakes.... anyway...
I have downloaded all the events but I'm wonder if instaling them all will actualy make the game too event crazy..
what do you all think?????

I don't believe it has a thing to do with the frequency.

I haven't installed anything based on my assumption that any events that are worthy will probably find their way into an official bonus pack one of these days, and the chaff will never have tainted my game.

Plus, and maybe someone can clarify, do these mods affect whether a score is official for the metaverse or not?

yes, they are official still lol
and the mods should all be working fine, doesn't increase the frequency, increases the selection that the game can draw from when it decides to do a random event

I've installed most of the library events, although I find that while the premises are nice, the rewards/costs seem to be a bit off in several.

That's my essential fear with them - this game is pretty nicely balanced, and things that haven't come from, or made it through, the official channels seem to have a good chance of altering or breaking that balance pretty easily with nothing to be done by the devs to fix it.

Plus, not to doubt Mr. Feschuk, I'd like a little more official statement on their effect on Metaverse scoring other than "lol". Why "lol"? What gives the impression anywhere that these are legit for Metaverse submissions?
Given their policy, if they looked through the library and realised that user made event really gave ridiculous rewards and there's a flag in your submitted games showing you used that event, poof, they'd simply delete all your scores. I don't really care about my rank against other people, but I do like to see my personal record, and altering it or even losing it so I can play with the typically "balanced" user mod just isn't worth it without some real assurances.

Well, I doubt any of the library posted mods are likely to alter your score for the worst. When I say I found the rewards/costs to be off, I meant:

* It's sometimes more immediately beneficial to take the good or neutral choice than to take the evil choice.

* It's sometimes more harmful to take the neutral choice over good *or* evil.

I had one event that would grant me:

Good: +10 million people
Neutral: -13% research
Evil: +20something% research.

I prefer my moral dilemmas to be costly for good decisions, relatively middle-of-the-ground (minor bonuses or penalties at best) for the neutral decisions, or beneficial for the evil decisions - good should be more costly than neutral if neutral costs, and evil should be more beneficial than neutral if neutral gives a benefit.

Anyway, aside from that, the events are largely cool and fit the universe fairly well. I just have issue with the specific numbers. ;)
