Mini map

When I display "population" on the minimap, some of the blue discs for Terran Alliance are *dark* blue and some are *light* blue.
Does anyone know what this means ?

Dark blue = No ships in orbit in that system.

Light blue = ships in orbit in that system.

Same goes for industry. In fact, same goes for neither, with your systems as blue dots.

Same also goes for all the other races - lighter color = ships. Darker color = no ships.
