Theoden - well, the TV stations (the local ones, at least) do shut down by themselves. The rest of the TV channels (satellites and cabel) still transmit, but that is mostly a few news network and the likes. Nothing intersting.

Yom kipur is not a day of celebration - it's the day of attuntment and forgiving. Most of the jews (at least, those that believe religious mumbo-jumbo, and I hope I didn't hit a nerve there) fast all day, don't go anywhere and don't active any electronics. It's a day you are supposed to sit down, fast and think about the past year.

So, no TV, no resturants, no cinema's, closed streets and the net is so slow due to the crowd (Israel is the most internet-connected nation in the world, and when most of us surf is SOOOOO slow here). So, boring. Very, very boring. Unlike Cotal, however, I can't play GalCiv 24/7, so I'm stuck. Nothing good came out lately - even Lionheart sucks.

I won't bare the responsibility of being stood on if I am belittled . . . hehe. A little joke there . . . tension breaker.

I'm of European decent (Polish but a first generation Aussie) . . . Australia took in a lot of immigrants after WW2 including my parents. Even though we have our own way of life I still consider OZ a collony of many cultures as diverse if not more so than your venerable Europe.

European Imperialism was the seed for most of the worlds modern culture, theres no denying that . . . was that a good thing? Although I would suppose so I know North American Indians and Australian Aboriginals would most probably disagree, along with the Polynesians, Celts and all the other seemingly vanquished cultures left in the wake of 'progress'. . .

This 'progress' as it is called is a poisoned pill! I tell you it will spell the end of us all!
