I haven't put up a Beta using the new system before but if you would like to try out 1.02Z here's how you do it:

In SDCentral go to settings and have it show pre-release versions. Note that this is a beta in many ways. It worked here fine on my home machine for what it's worth. ;)

+ Efficiency Production Bonuses get penalized if they are > 3X the planet quality.
+ Sector Influence is now weighted between the distance of the nearest starbase and the distance of the nearest star.
+ Colonies on planets

I was just browsing the Drengin.net page. Wow! I am impressed. It sounds like there is some really good stuff there. My membership will be sent in this evening. :) The Political Machine sounds excellent; I can't wait for that. My only complaint is that Stardock is keeping me away from Everquest!
