Heh, with all the pointless flaming that goes on there, I wouldn't blame them if they just shut the whole affair down permanently. :)

Actually, outside the general forum, very little flaming goes on. Some, sure, but not very much. Most of the flamers are a) angry that Quicksilver and MoO3 killed their puppies, and b) usually go into the topmost forum.

I read the strategy, bug/suggestion, MoO1/2, and Mod forums, and they're fairly civil.

I'd disagree with Phaedyme about the bug/suggestion forum being civil. It flames over easily. I think the mods just keep it well patrolled and change its diaper every hour. The MoO1/2 forum seems to be highly civil. Don't know about the others. Have no reason to bother with them while waiting on the new code patch...

I actually made and accidentally snipped a comment about some of the flamers making it as far as the bug/suggestion forum, but it's not particulary a cesspit even without the aggressive moderation.

Aside from that, I mostly follow the bug forum lately, for the same reason (waiting on patch).

I actually didn't think the bug forum was that bad all things considered. Mod forum is rather friendly there as well. My experience has been that the general forum was the worst by far.
