Double Spacing in Names

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature but... when I enter the name of my civilization (Fuji Fun 4 Free) a single press of the space bar inserts two spaces into the name field (also for the name of the leader (Frank Fujita)). I can go back and delete one of the spaces (that's how I know that it is double spacing rather than that the font just has a very wide single space).

No it's a bug I had the same problem.

Brad says that we just haven't encoded those characters in our fonts and that's why it doesn't work, and that Corporate Machine had a font with non-English characters. I don't know what happened to the files that were used to encode that font, but if we can find them, then we can make the other fonts have the special characters.

Nice.

I made an experiment.
I edited the English.str and put in translations.

In som places the local swedish chars was visible. Like in the system-screen to the left where it shows "Influence:", for example. And at the bottom of the research screen where it says how many months to complete.

So it seems that there are one font there that supports it. The rest left to process :)

Anyway, I got a big load of:
ASSERT ERROR in file c:\projects\pear\source\font.cpp at line 287.
