Forum Titles

Just a quick Q regarding the titles in the forums - you know: "Citizen", "Veteran" and such....

Are they given regarding to post count (like in phpBB) or what?

...You could always start a new thread titled 'spam' and see if u can hit Veteran b4 they kick you off the boards ;)

On the original Starfleet Command forums, they gave all new posters the rank of "Red Shirt." Naturally, many people spammed lots to get a new rank. :)

Why would they have been afraid of being Red Shirts? Its not like they're actually going to be killed off any time soon. ;p

they are handed out by the stardock people. They are given to people who have helped out the game. a lot of us are from the beta and gamma tests. It's not the quantity of posts that counts it's the quality. Some people got promoted immediately after joining when they found a particular nasty bug that nobody had been able to pin down. Hope this makes it a little bit clearer.
