red buttons and icon changes

from Stardock Forums
the version i am running was updated through Stardock and is the latest 1.03.051
Once after going through the new turn build screen, as usuall it returned me to the galaxy screen but all my buttons turned red and the pictures on them changed and the whole interface has a totally new look.
It just happened for no apparent reason.
Any ideas what's up with that?
Also i notice from screenshots people have put up on the forum that some people's interface is different than my original was. Makes me think that perhaps the interface randomly changes appearance to keep things interesting if you have the media pack? Just a guess but I can't find anything on the opic in the forums so....

Interface changes due to your ethical standing. Red interface if you've drifted to the evil side, blue/white if you're more the goody-goody type.

this could have to do with your alignment. if you are good your screen will be more silver/white color neutral it will b brown and evil will be more dark. did u curently have a reandom or colonization event? if so there are good neutral and evil choices (as im sure you know)good is first neutral 2nd and evil 3rd so if u make enough evil choices your alignment will change .

You'll be able to confirm this by listening to the background music, which also changes - at least when you shift to evil. >:(
