*He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite Sandwich*

I come from the land down under

I love my husband -- He is my favourite grown up person on this planet but it FLAWS me that he hates!! vegemite.

How can any redblooded Australian hate vegemite?!?!?!?

Aren't vegemite sandwiches the main staple of any Australian kids diet - didn't we all take vegemite sandwiches for lunch at school.

it's amazing -- Vegemite puts a rose in every cheek - The vitamin B in Vegemite helps kids grow up stronger. It wakes you up - makes you feel great - wash it down with a glass of milo (more milo then milk!)

Put it on Vita-wheats - make worms!!

Add some red frogs -- mmmmm Vegemite and Red frog sandwiches :- see this Link

It's completely unAustralian to NOT LOVE!!!!!!!! vegemite. Remember the song?!?!!? Do you come from the land down under?

Now people are allowed to differ on the amount of vegemite - I personally like a little spread evenly with lots of butter but I have a friend who has no butter and the vegemite is almost as thick as the bread it's spread over.
But you can't be Australian and HATE vegemite -- that's like ...wrong!!

MMM Vegemite sandwiches - think I'll go make me another one.

(in honour of vegemite I've left this blog black)

my doctor wants me to have tests on my thyroid for being too thin

what the...?? wow when is that happening? maybe rocco's "dangerously thin" comment was right after all?? *s*

haha Rocco's seen me twice in six months

I don't know if it is happening -- when we saw Mary 2 weeks ago for Elana's checkup she told me she was worried and if I kept losing weight they'd have to do some tests.
And the other night Nick kept commenting about how small I looked on the couch, and how there's nothing left of me blah blah
Anyway

In my defence, vegemite is a by-product of making beer. Would you spread beer on your toast in the morning? Or dip a few toast-soldiers in your lager at night. Hell no.

I'll drink the beer, the rest of you can eat the waste on toast.

i think vegemite is testament to the australian initiative: what to do with this black scum after the beer's been made? let's sell it in jars and sing songs about it until it becomes an australian icon and worth enough for an american company to spend millions of dollars on acquiring.

aussie aussie aussie!!
