CTRL-N is sending me to desktop

Hello,

I installed the 1.03 patch and now when I hit CRTL-N to regen the universe, I get dropped to the desktop! This didn't happen before. I uninstalled and reinstalled since I was having trouble with some of the events, and I am still getting dropped to the desktop when I hit CRTL-N.

Help!

In addition to #1: I just started a new game with the latest patch installed (.052) and it works fine with CRTL-N, as well as ALT-TABBING to this forum.
