6th, 6th, 6th, 6th....1st!!

Anyone else think your stats screen is a tad...overoptimistic...in your overall ranking? :)

Or perhaps we just shouldn't pay too much attention to that screen...

This sounds like an old version- playing 1.03?? Since the update it's seemed a little more realistic to me- maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe Brad could take a look at this.

I have -454bc. I am in contact with the other races, and they have more cash reserves than I do. I am ranked first in Treasury. ????

The thing that concerns me though, is that the Arceans contact me every few turns demanding between 450bc - 650bc in a lump sum. Don't they know that you can't get blood from a turnip?

ver. 1.03

I will crosspost this in the bugs thread.

On the topic of unrealistic AI demands, this seems like a mechanism to let you know how far away you are from going to war. As far as I can see, the AI will not go to war with you 'out of the blue' (well, unless you attack or it joins against you suddenly in an alliance).

Therefore, each time you refuse an AI demand, it's relations slider goes down a notch until it's at Hostile, from which point it can declare war at any time. So I read those unrealistic demands as the AI effectively moving toward a declaration of war not necessarily as a viable way to get money from you.

DblDamage: I've noticed funkiness in the ranking system as well. Will look into it :)

DblDamage, they still have a bug in the graphs when handling a negative value. It turns the number into a huge positive number like 42456. THats why when you view the treasury graph all by itself you get huge spikes that go over 40,000 at each point you treasury went below zero.

I think this bug affects the "Overall" stat not being very accurate as well but I could be wrong.

BoogieBac: Thanks, buddy.

MrChoke: I never even thought about checking the graph! I'll have to look at that when I get home tonight.

Are you guys (and gals) at Stardock still looking into this? I'm big into deficit spending, and the Arceans keep demanding huge amounts of cash I don't have. They are akin to the Universal Collection Agency!

If I refuse, relations plummit. If I accept, it makes matters worse because they think I have even more money than I did before.

They should be asking you for techs and stuff if you don't have any money...I'll have to check into that.

That's a good idea CariElf. I've been asked to pay 1,600 BC while in deficit LOL
