Game just shuts off?

Again I know alot of people have probably asked this but why is my game keep just turning off? I tried dling directx or whatever it says to dl but it just keeps shutting off. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

ps:Im still having trouble with 1.03 how do you know its working? And after I dl it. It shows up on desktop and I double click it and I have 2 options__Save or Open. If i save where do I save it and or do I just open it or do i move the folder somewhere?

This may be far fetched, but I'm guessing that you looked in the debug.err file and found something that said ddraw.dll. Is that what you mean when you say that it tells you to "dl directx?" If so, it's not asking you to do download anything. That particular file is a technical report that helps the programmers track down problems when the game crashes. The ddraw.dll line tells them that GalCiv called something in directDraw right before it crapped out (among other things.) What you can do with that report is post it here or e-mail it to the stardock guys. They'll check it out to try to determine what the problem is.
