CTRL-N doesn't work with 1.3

I uninstalled and reinstalled, have DX 9, and recent patche, but when I hit CTRL-N to regen my universe, I crash to desktop!

Help, I love CTRL-N

Hmmm, I'm having no problem with Ctrl-N in 1.03.054.

I'm beginning to think I have an anti-computer. When everyone else is fine, I crash. When everyone else crashes, I'm fine...
