last few updates where always 85meg !?! ... normal or not ?

Hi,

Today I'm upgrading to 1.03.054 from 1.02.049 and SDC says it's 85meg... last time I updated I got the same and asked about it in the IRC channel.. then the answer was: not normal - although everything worked.

I have cable so the size isn't a real problem, it's just I'm from Europe so the speed is a little problem ;p

Should I reinstall the game ? I don't want to get 85meg everytime there's a patch LOL

It should never be 85 megs. At that point you're downloading EVERYTHING.

When I first got the game on CD and installed it, then updated to the 1.01 patch, I had that problem with SDC. The 1.02 patch must have put me in sync, because I had no problem with the 1.03, it correctly downloaded the minimum files needed. Hopefully the standalone 1.03 patch will re-sync you with SDC.

Same issue here that Vorlin had; installed game off CD, used the 1.01 bonus download, installed SDC, but SDC said I still had 1.0. Only after downloading all 85MB's did it update properly.

This was, however, on an earlier version of SDC...
