AI

Have you made any limitations to the AI since the early alphas? Nowadays the AI seems not to attack me..dunno why. In the early aplhas the AI could come at me with a big fleet and beat me up. Nowadays they might take out a ship or two but that's about all. No invasions. On the other hand I play slightly different, but I dont expect to be left untouched.

I think I figured why. It was a long time since I set the good/evil slider. Since everything else at the setup-page is save I thought those were saved too, but I was wrong. I just got attacked by Drengin when I started a new game with them set to Evil as they should :)

The game difficulty and intelligence matter a lot in that area too.

Fredrik: isn't it saving the good/evil sliders now? I know that I'd included a clean copy of the prefs.ini file with the last build since the one before it had been messed up by CVS. You might want to check to see that your prefs.ini file (the one in the data folder) is not read only.

the one in the data directory is the one actually being used

Cari,

Why are there two "prefs.ini" files? Does the one in the GalCiv directory have a use? Just curious.

Cheers,
