Rant: Awesome!

Played my first game at a large galaxy with normal opponents (I'm not that good yet, finding the game more challenging than the OS/2 version).
The playing experience was just plain awesome! The playing field was levelled between altarians, arceans, drengin and myself and finally managed to win a massive cultural victory by securing 5 influence resources.
The game is so well-balanced that most paths are viable! For the first time ever I realized what a valueable resource the minor races are, even while playing as "Chaotic Good". At times, having one third of your economy built upon tributes due to selling technology to minor races, is an enormous asset, and something that I will use to improve my game.
Just a quick note to say thanks! Like the OS/2 version I expect to be playing this frequently over the years to come (I have an old OS/2 partition stacked away at one of my computers just for the possibility to play Galciv once in a while).
Best Civgame ever IMHO! Huge loads of praise to everyone in the Galciv team!
