GalCiv wont turn my sound back on or keep my sound on????

I have always notice that my sound goes into sleep mode after about 5 min... Now all games I have played in the past seem to tune my sound back one but GalCiv does not turn my sound on or even keep it on... I have looked everywhere in my settings to see if I can turn off my sound sleep mode but have not found it(I am running Win98SE)...

Anyway I find it odd that GaclCiv is the only game that cant turn or keep my sound on...
