I-League Ranger invincibility

I've got I-League rangers with attack 8, Def 12, Hp 101, lev1 neophyte straphing systems with avatar at 27,de 17, 90 hp, Master not counting planetary def, Star def and wasting them and still surviving. Whats the deal? I can shrug off everyone elses attacks including other avatars but this is attriting the hell out of me. I had many many hous in this game last night and the same thing happened. I am running the latest patch as of an hour ago
