"Center on curent ship" function is backwards.

This function used to be activated by the top of the three buttons on the "selected ship"
status screen. Now it is activated on any spot in the ship status screen except the top
and bottom buttons (the bottom button scraps the ship). (Yes, the "set ship on sentry"
button also centers the camera on the ship, but does not perform its intended funtion.)

Cheers,
Jack

The current build (alpha 5a?) has added another glitch. The "center on ship" button
now places/removes the current ship in sentry mode.

Or, perhaps I missunderstand the buttons?

The top button with a sideways arrow is Sentry. The next one down is Guard. The last one is Decomission. To center on your selected ship, you can click on your logo above the number of moves that you have left.

OK. That cleared it all up.

Thanks,

Umm I remember the Sentry and the Decommision, but what does Guard do and how does it differ from Sentry?

And I guess you'll make the ship-info box slide down and hide if there isnt any ship selected currently? (instead of showing all those n/a's)

And about "Center on current ship". It'd be great IMO if the screen centered on the system Im about to colonize when the right hand screen lets me choose which planet to colonize.

Guard doesn't do anything yet. Sentry it will just sit there. Guard is like sentry except that I think that it wakes up when an alien ship goes by.

Actually, I think we had planned on simply keeping the window open until another ship was selected. I had it closing at one time, but it felt like too much, like having the animation play just for the sake of movement. We can change this thought, if everyone feels the "n/a"s look goofy.

I like the n/a's. But perhaps something in the preferences screen that lets the user decide...
