Another first victory... (1st game)

Just finally finishedmy first game. Been playing it a couple days. Probably took 20 hours hehe. Factoring in the learning curve, reading while playing etc etc etc.
I got a Cultural Victory. Was on "simple" difficulty but that was plenty for my first game.
Basically I researched the hell out of stuff, played populist party, and jumped on populating like 6 systems pretty early.
I used lots of propaganda cash to keep them happy.
At one point in the game I got a message saying the Drengin had found some articfact that would make them very dangerous in the future.
So I built a bunch of corvettes and started attacking his planets. This took a while because my goverment didnt agree to war for the longest while since I didnt have control of the senate and was in a republic goverment.
I eventually got control back by spending tons on propaganda. Then soon as I got majority I went to war.
Basically once I wiped them out I had like all but 2 sectors. The game told me to hold on to this for 2 years for cultural victory. I went around building starbase to hold and win.
Was a great game. Looking forward now to higher difficulty.
One thing I loved was how good the AI really is on diplomacy. When I was attacking the Drengin they had like 3 systems. So after I had shot all thier defenses to hell and blown up all the ships I decide to offer him a peace treaty if he gives me like 200bc and one of the systems.
At first he refuses. I have corvettes camped around his planets. Every time the shield goes up on one I blow it up as Im waiting for a transport to be built to start invading.
Several turns pass and he comes to me asking for peace again. I tell hime same thing. This time 300bc and one of the systems. This time he finally agrees.
Then 10 turns or some later some new formed coalition faction or somethign takes one of his planets. SO then I go ahead 10 turns later and invade his last one.
After I took the planet it was basically over and I cruised ot cultural victory.
Again...I love this game so far. Really excited to play my second game now that I understand a bit better whats going on. Should take 4 days or whatever like this game did hehe.
I think my final score was like 2439 (85mpts) (what does the mpts stand for exactly?)
Then socre of 107 for the metaverse. Think I ranked like 147 or something.
