Must be lazy, but I couldn't find the answers...how to change *all* ship orders at once?

Playing my first "normal" difficulty game. Pretty much down to me and the Altarians, with the Drengin as spectators. The Altarians just demanded I hand over a SB in one of their sectors, which, of course ;) I said no to. LOL So, predictably, they went to war with me.

I have a 95-ship fleet right now, almost all doing "Sector Sweep". Is there a way I can change them *all* at once to "Auto-Attack", or do I have to do it painstakingly one ship at a time? There *has* to be a way...(of course, I do realize the ships could be deployed more wisely than A-A, but I want to change them all to A-A first and *then* pick and choose destinations for some of them...) Please help!!!

No, no auto assign orders.

Still, if I may ask - what possible reason could there have been to put your entire fleet on sector-sweep?

I suggest you build an Eye of the Universe, then sprinkle some sensor drones around the map in guard mode. This permits your combat ships to sit in orbit or some convenient location without having to constantly patrol your borders for enemy ships.

Hmmmmm...thanks for the advice, gentlemen...as c0d3 m0nk3y and you probably have guessed, I'm somewhat of a noob to this game...errrrrrrrrr...I presume if you don't "kick your ships out" into space that they are orbiting status, then? :p
