I’m a little creepy
at least as I understand the word
I’m a watcher
a looker
voyeur la sociologica
but I don’t care if you know
I cruise the internet like some guy
walking the back allies and catching
glimpses of this and that
some guy with his garage door open
and a sand burner on blocks
now and then
reading profiles
some woman will flash me and
wink
and flipping thru dating sites
I catalogue and ponder and wonder
at the neediness
theirs and my own
it’s a sadness that echoes our
collective loneliness
each posting their desires like
ads in a market flyer
special today I’m available
and we go on hoping the next
bump in the night
has blindness and deafness and dumbness
utterly wanting to fill the holes in our
souls
I’m not closed to the same dreaming
but I would prefer silky thighs red hair
and a chance at …I have no idea
