yeaster day i was playing a game with the derngin set on normal and was at war with them. they were down to there home world (they only ever had 2) and my fleet and my the Torian set to sub-normal (but they were owning the whole galaxy even more than me they had 15 systems (huge, Rare good worlds my newest metavese update.) well they had a uber battle axe in defence of the world and it killed by 4 attacking battle axes! but was realy hurt but the torian fleet wount move up to attack the system they were busy killing friegters and my closet attack ships were turns away by them the enemy ship would be fully functional.
to my luck and serprize next turn they come beggng for peace and i asked for the shi defending the world and it showed up green!
the next turn i redelared war and attacked with my transports but unfotunetly my 4billion troops still count take out there 49.86Billion (PQ39) but next turn me and the torian won by alliance. i fount this tactic to work in many situations and they tend to trade there enter defence fleet for high end techs and gavity accelerators but make sure you can kill them in the next turn or else it will come back to haunt you.
btw i set the Yor to Bright and i explored the entire map and count find them i find it hard to think a minor race i think they started near (realy isolated) could have killed them at that levelsince the minor race only had one world and i was first to get transports.
Also i see lots of complates that the Torian are whimps and surrender but in every game i have played so far they have completly owned the Alterians before i even find them (then they surrender to me witch helps with my range) and always are killing every one even if they are a level lower then them. btw way do my scores alway stink i alway win before battle ship era so dont that count for anything.
