Setting alien intelligences to Genius levels?

Your intelligence is not adjustable. You were born with it.

At genius level the AIs are given small production advantages. They aren't any smarter, they just cheat a little bit. At "Intelligent" level the AIs are as smart they can be already.

Vanir, that's true for everyone but the Arceans, they actually do play better above intelligent under 1.03. They've got a chance of certain AI routines being active at intelligent, but they are always active at the higher levels.

Where did he say they it was randomly on or off on intelligent level? Not saying I don't believe you, just that I haven't seen that.

I've seen him say that, it's probably even on this board somewhere and if I had a real search function, we could all see it again

That's kinda messed up, IMO. 'Intelligent' has always been the level you play at to see the AI at full intelligence without giving it production cheats. I would be annoyed if we started moving to where we had to play with AI cheats on to get all the goodies.

Code Monkey is correct. I saw that too... the full 'Nasty AI' only kicks in on Genius. I was a bit bitter about that too, but I think they are trying to debug it or something.. Eventually I'm sure they will roll this into the Intelligent AI for all races.

It makes no sense to not give us a level where the computer is at full strength and still not cheating.

wow.. i used a triple negative in that last sentence. My powers over the English language are incredible.. hehe.. let me put that another way.

It only makes sense if there is at least one level where the AI is turned up as good as they can make it, but still isn't cheating.

Currently you have to deal with cheating AI to get that.
