How much do you get for the trade goods?

People keep talking about selling the trade goods on the lease-to-own plan to the AIs. What kind of money are you getting from the computer? I'm more interested to know what you're getting for the first couple you sell since that will be earlier in the game where diplomatic advantages will be more similar.

I want to know if I'm getting anywhere near what I should be.

On "Bright", I'm able to get 10 cred / 70-150 years depending on the individual AI I'm dealing with and our current status.

Can I do better?

They offer way too much. I think I once got 5 early techs and 20BC/20 turns from 1 Civ just for Diplomatic Translators. The others gave me 40+BC/20 turns. Trade Goods are the easiest way to beat the AI, especially on the smaller maps.

If they value trade goods so much, it would be nice if they rushed after them.

They do rush after them at higher AIs. Or so I've seen. On larger or bigger maps on bright or higher ussually at least 2 or 3 of the early trade good have already been built by the time I'm done colonizing.
