Smells like cheese

Last night I was able to trade a planet away 5-6 times to the different AIs in return for a whack load of tech. The catch was it was in a sector with my homeworld and another planet, and many cultural updates and culturally maxed out starbase. So I was able to aquire the tech, and within 3-4 turns the planet would of course simply revolt back to me anyway. I repeated this many times.

The only issue I had was when one of them demanded I give them the starbase since I was clearly trying to assimilate them. So I had my first war.

I even traded it to the same guy 2 or 3 times. Can't remember for sure. I did do it to at least 3 different races too.

Would it have any effect if the race I traded it to was in really deep trouble in a war with someone else and really liked me? I traded only with weaker races, for fear I'd make an enemy with the more powerful Torians if I tried it with them.

This was on "Bright" intelligence if it matters. It was the last game I submitted if you get enough information from looking at that.
