Not so chilling news

During a recent war which I was handily winning I got a GNN report saying:
Twilight of humanity...alliance against us...if you take the total economic and military ratings of the forces fighing us it would come to 198 while our rating would be just 214, clearly this is chilling news.
Uh... oh no! I'm doomed! :d
To be fair, their total military rating was above mine, but my economy was twice the size of the alliance against me. I think maybe the game just looks at the military rating when making that report and not the economic + military rating it reports.

I do think that it is a bit perplexing in that you either are slaughtering the enemy or about to die, according to the messages. Maybe something like "the two sides are locked in a stalemate" or something if the scores are roughly equivalent, on a percentage basis?

I got a message saying that the current war with the Altarians was bleeding my empire to death. The funny thing was I had not even engaged or been engaged by the Altarians since the start of the war (about 40 turns prior). They declared war on me after a random event but never attacked me (I was after all the most powerful empire in the galaxy). It was kinda like a small barking dog acting tough.

These messages are really benificial, I got a message the Drengin were slowly being exterminated by another race. I send a couple of Dreadnoughts there, and some battle transports. When the other race destroyed the defences of the Drengin home planets, I invaded them. Victory! LOL

I do like these reports overall, just not the ones telling me I'm losing a war and showing me proof that proves them wrong.

Yes indeed :)

I sure hope we capture the Drengin Information Minister and give him a job on late night TV or something. I really miss him...

But this is even worse than comical Ali, it's like he was giving one of his reports while standing in frot of that APC pulling down the Saddam statue.
