Learning curve

from Stardock Forums
Does anyone know how steep the learning curve in Galciv will be?
I've briefly tried Unlimited Starships and wow!!!!
After starting I game twice, I gave up. The information presented on the screen was to much for me.
And I like complex games!

does anyone know anything about this in Galciv?

Galciv is going to have advisors to help people learn the ropes initally, and offer 'tips and tricks' through out the game.

The game also unfolds slowly in the begining as you research new technology, so people don't get overwhelmed the first time they play.

Great! and although tuturials can be boring to play, most of the time they give invaluable advice :)

I like the idea of having advisors because I don't like reading the manual unless I'm really lost.

I don't think any help would be in the form of tutorials, because the replayablity of the game means you'll be restarting more than once.

Advisors should help you understand the game better and make sure you appreciate the full scope of the game.

I find GalCiv pretty straight forward, especially compared to other games in the genre.
