Political Party Colours

How are they determined? I want to add a Communist Party amongst others, and I wanted the Communists to have a bright red. Help?

Take a look at the .party files. There are three settings which govern the color that will show in-game:

ColorRed
ColorGreen
ColorBlue

Assuming StarDock used the standard RGB scheme, each Color can be a value of 0-255, with 0 meaning very little and 255 a lot.

Again, I haven't played around with this, but if you want to make a bright red under a RGB system you would do this:

ColorRed 255
ColorGreen 0
ColorBlue 0

That would be as red as you can get. You can then tone down the red-ness by diluting it with some green or blue.

Post here if this works, I'd imagine it will but I am curious.

Hmmm... if you are going to make a Communists party, maybe I'll put together a VRWC party? ;)

Maybe get Condi Rice as my governor? Name my homeworld Halliburton?

Hehe.. I know, I gave the communists + 10 to social production and + 30 to Morale, and The penalty for losing the senate was... -20 morale, Opposed party: Mercantilists. I also made a facist party that had +30 (I think) to Military Prod. and +30 to Research, and if they lost, they got -30 to morale, -20 to Research, Opposed: Populists.

I think it'd be cool to have like 500 political parties in the game.. So there are so many that have a chance to be elected.. You'd get like 300 turns into the game and loose controll of your government to like ... the Ronald Regean Fan Club Party or somthing.. or somthing really odd or obscure "N-1 has lost control of his senate to the LandBridge party" or "Netro Mancer has lost control of his senate to the Play-More-Sims party"
