Article Referrals for JoeUser

Track referring URL's to your article.

Yesterday we implemented a referral tracking system that I believe will be a great little tool. When another website links directly to your article the URL that the link is coming from will be saved into our database and you will be able to reference those url's. At the bottom of each article next to the comments you will notice a new link like (Referrals 3).

The number represents the number of unique referrals to your article. Clicking on the Referrals link will display a list of the top referring url's to your article. IMHO, this is much better than the TrackBack system as it will show you all the links coming to your article. It will be most interesting to learn where external links to your article are coming from.

Right now we are tracking referrals from search engines but we will probably filter those out so the content of the referral system is from actual sources talking about your article. And I am sure we will make some tweaks to this as we go but as you can see this will be a great little feature to help see who else is talking about your articles

can you leave an option to see what search engine keywords were used? if someone uses "goat pron" to find a blog, he/she may want to make some changes to their site.

I have 2 requests that should be really simple to add. (not sure where else to post them, forgive me)

1. Should probably be optional. I'd like my user profile to have an email link to people can get in touch.
2. I'd like my user profile to have a link to my blong.

Currently the "Channel View" is a little broken.

From the main JoeUser.com page if i click on a channel at the top, for instance "Politics" it shows me the last few posts made to that catagory. However, trying to add a comment from that page fails, and it also doesnt have the new post format that includes a link to the user's blog. (thanks btw!)

Must just be an overlooked page that wasnt updated.
