Change windows BG colors

Hello, I have the Xero MAC skin right now, and its great but, I have one problem with it that I am trying to change (for personal use of course).

If you would like to see the skin its here

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=1&SkinID=3476

Its his Mac Panther Brushed skin. Anyway,

When I open photoshop, the background is white. Im not talking about the file background, Im talking about the actual app background.

I want to change that to a nice medium gray, but Im not sure where in the registry to do that or If I need to go in the registry at all.

Anyone have an idea on how to change this?

If anyone has this skin, you can get a better idea of what area Im reffering too by going into the display section and looking at the skin example, its the part that says his name..the middle part that is white.

Anyhoo, If anyone knows how to get this to change, I would greatly appreciate it. By the way, i cant install skinstudio because I have an early version of winblinds and it says I need at least version 6 of skinstudio.

Thank you for any help

Not sure about SKS6, but you can do it here in SKS5.

Open the skin in skin studio, go to misc > colors > edit the background - desktop.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us

That's specifically for the desktop background, try MDI window background for what you want to change.

Okay, I have version 5 and it works fine. Thanks.

What is the attribute in skinstudio called that will let me change this setting from white to a nice gray?

Thanks again for all your help.

By the way, I dont mean the windows background I mean app backgrounds that hold files such as:

When you open for example photoshop, you have the app background then your file background. I want to change the app background which is a windows color. The Xero skin changes it from gray to white. I want to know what setting is changing it to white.

Thanks again for all the help so far.

Try editing the MDI window background (at the top of that section).

I included pictures of the issue here at

The pictures are SUPER big so they might take time to load if you got less then cable internet. I made them big so everything is readable and see-able.

This should help better show what my problem is.

Thanks again for your help. And if anyone else has any ideas on how to correct this (like if Xero himself sees this), please POST. :)
