Bugs? Game speeds up after being paused / lefthand pane loses info - 1.02

Sorry if these are already known bugs on 1.02 -

I have noticed that a couple of times after I have left the game paused for a while (about 5+ hours) and then unpaused that the game has sped up to a super rate.  I double check my games speed with - and ==, and verify its at 1x, but it still seems like 8x and things are zipping all over and I can't slow it down.

I've also noticed on my 24" LCD at 1900x1600 (8800gtx, XPSP2, etc.) that the left-hand pane does not work correctly.  You lose planets at the bottom, and scrolling up and down won't reveal the ones most at the bottom.  Also, sometimes when I scroll up and down, it wipes the whole lefthand panel blank as I scroll.  If  I "minimize" all the planets I can usually see what I want to, but not good for fast action.

This is a really fun game.  My wishlist items include bigger tech tree and ground combat (ala Imperium Galactica II).  I keep hearing an invisible voice say "Imperator?" every time I play this
