Turbine Extends LOTR MMORPG License
Deal extended to 2014, options to allow extension to 2017

Turbine announces that an extension to their licensing deal with Tolkien Enterprises to continue developing MMORPGs based on The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings trilogy. The Massachusetts-based developer has already had some success with the launch of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar and have decided to extend the deal to 2014 with options to push it as far as 2017.
