Modelling problems

Hi guys im having some problems this a model ive ported as a test

Its a Federation Miranda Class

My Problem is, that ive set it up as according to the guide BUT my problem is the thing lights up like a chrismast tree

i set the materials and data textures up properly but it doesnt work. the bump and speculars work fine i am only expecianceing issues with the "data" texture

 

also for some reason it didnt recognize my Nulls as points??

what do i need to use in XSI as hardpoints or do i need to set up a higherarchy

your data map is missing it's alpha channel
you have an ati card right?
ati automatically sees no alpha as white. nvidia sees it as black

There needs to be a hirarchy for your nulls, as well as a naming convention. I'll put that up in a few days

my date map DOES have an alpha channel..thats the annoying part....

Yes, but what is it? If it is all white, and it looks that way to me, then everything glows. Set it all black, with white only on the areas of your texture you want to glow, like engines.
