Windows SteadyState and Savegames

I've been using Windows Steady State for a while now.  It protects your C: drive from just about anything.  A simple reboot restores your C: drive back to its Steady condition.

Is there a way to change the default folder that Sins saves game settings and save games?  Right now, whenever I reboot I loose all settings and savegames.  Can I put it in the My Documents folder, or just have them saved IN the Sins install folder on my D: drive.

Unfortunately, no. The location is required by Microsoft's Games for Windows program.

I see. I find it odd that Microsoft would force PC users to conform to their failing Games for Windows initiative and then offer a product that protects so well that you can't even save a game.

Guess the 8th hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing...

Ugh, that was Microsoft's doing? I get so annoyed at games that store my save files anywhere other than the game directory...

How could they screw up so many things with one operating system?
