Can I customize my small map to only explore 4 planets?

Even on a small map one's empire includes 14 planets. I don't have the time in one sitting to play a scenario that long. Can't I customize my small map empire to just 4 planets? thanks

well, you might be able to using galaxy forge

if you open up the in-game map editor, and just leave it at one star, remove all the planet groups, you'll get a 6-planet map, and there are a few premade 7 planet maps, like point blank.
