OS Compatability

XP 64

    I would like to pick this game up on my way home from work. Have people been able to install this on XP 64bit? I can't imagine there being any issue but I would rather make sure then spend 60 bucks like a sucker and not be able to play it! I'm not asking for XP 64bit support, just if whether or not the game will run on XP 64bit.

I run it on XPx64, and the game works flawlessly. In my opinion XPx64 is best OS for gaming. Runs all of the games I currently play with no issues whatsoever.

Vista 64-bit has not been the issue as far as guys having crashes and driver issues. It has been more a Vista in general thing along with drivers and hardware. Patches are on the way from Nvidia. If you are running Vista on a newer machine with newer hardware, you should be good to go, but I'd check some of the video error, freeze, crash technical posts and see if anyone has similar hardware to yours on what you may expect. From my experience, 64-bit is getting support equal to 32-bit in the most used areas, except Gametap, those punks.

Thanks guys, I am going to go ahead and pick this up.

I think my hardware should be adequate. Most everything is top end.

I appreciate the help! I am pretty excited by the reviews of this. Hopefully I will have all night free to do some major galactic damage. :)
