turn whenever i issue orders

Whenever I issue an order, the game, for some reason, does a turn. In effect, it only allows me to move one ship a ture, It started maybe a little after three weeks into the game and goes away after reloading, only to return again in a single turn. I am playing challenging as a custom race, 8 opponents, immense.

I am going to ask a dumb question just to make sure all the bases are covered. There is an option in game settings (I don't remember exactly what it's called) that when you hit turn, it highlights ships that were on auto-pilot but arrived at their destination with movement points left. The turn button becomes a 'Skip' button and once you move that ship, it continues to process that end of turn, so it could APPEAR to be processing a new turn with every move, if you weren't aware this was set.

Are you sure this is not the case?
