Vasari Ships Bug-like?

It just seems to me that a lot of their ships, (the lrm, subverter, and overseer) look a tad bit like bugs. The missle boat does the most, with a kind of rounded top, and the subverter has little feelers on the front.

Are the vasari supposed to have any real theme at all?

Their theme is warmongering alien, I'm sure as long as their ships look mean as hell they're happy.

No, the Vasari aren't supposed to have any real theme. They're evil aliens, after all.

The Enforcer also appears to humans as kind of beetle-like with what appears to be huge pincers out in front, but that's actually a Wave Cannon that shoots blades of energized plasma death at all who come in it's way. Similarly, all those 'bug-like' aspects must have some use behind them.
