Player Setup

Creating New Players

Am I missing something simple.  I have installed Sins, updated to the latest and now I'm at the "Player Setup" screen, I create my player and give it a name.  Then I start a game, save it "call it SAVE A".
Now my son sits down, starts up a game and creates a player with his name.  He starts a game call it "SAVE B".
Later in the day I go back to play.  I look for my player name.  It doesn't exist anymore.  His is there and both save games are there but my player name isn't there.  If I 'recreate' my player then his doesn't exist.
Is the game limited to a single avatar (player) name setup?
This is all on single player missions, not online or multiplayer games.

Yes, the single player only has a single configuration for the human player.

It might be a PITA, but couldn't you locate your save game folder or profile and copy/paste it to another directory for backup? This is how I save most of my games when I reformat my PC or play one game on different computers.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the replies folks. I didn't think I was missing anything. In a single player game while it may be a pain that I can't have multiple avatars/players what I will do is simply settle for whatever my son wants and when I save a game I'll save with my name as part of the save file. That way I can always load my game. The folder move is a good idea...Typically I've gotten to where I save the entire game directory where the game is installed so that if I reformat I don't have to reinstall and download fixes and such. Works for most games. Others that require significant registry entries I reinstall then write over with the restore files.
Again thanks for the replies.
