More diffrent ship types?

Hi. I have a question.
Would it be bossible to make a mod where more ship types are added or is there allready one in progress?
I would really like to have some big ships (even if this would be just for fun^^). In my eyes the capital ships are way to small for the largest ships in the game.. I loved games like Moo2 where it was possible to design your own ships (not nessecary in a game real time game) which had the size of a small planet and would love to have such ships ins Sins too
