EA drops more 'The Sims 3' details

Electronic Arts has released some more details on their upcoming sequel to The Sims 2. The unimaginatively named The Sims 3 will be launching globally in 2009 for PCs everywhere. The title will boast an all new engine that has been in development for almost three years, and will allow your Sim to live in an “open living neighborhood.”

Announced features include the aforementioned outside world, a new Create a Sim ability and deeper, more realistic personalities. Of course, no Sims title would be complete without a crap ton of customization, which The Sims Studio is implementing in spades, claiming “new unlimited customization.”
