Which thread for AI suggestions?

I've got one suggestion, a trick I use in combat to inflict 4:1 losses against the AI with only marginally better ships.

Basically, I'll bring in several ships that are a little better than any of the enemy ships in that sector. Most of the ships then attack, and most of them survive with few enough hitpoints to make a second attack impractical. All of those ships then run to the same spot on the map, and two undamaged ships then plop down on top of them. This way, there are no easily picked off stragglers. Next turn, I pop what ships were almost destroyed the last turn, again returning to safety. Works great when there aren't any AM-missiles around.
Using that trick, last night I had 6 dreadnoughts tackle 10 slightly inferior dreadnoughts, lost 2, but destroyed 8.

The nasty Arceans are supposed to be able to retreat damaged ships as well but you have included a defensive screen/escort to increase their survivability.

Cool if the AI could do this. Currently, human ships have a much longer survivability as we are usually more careful with them.

Perhaps the AI (if it doesn't already have this) could
have a inate tolerance to damage. So Dregs could have a 0% hp (kamikaze/no retreat) tolerance while Altarians have a 50% hp tolerance.
