it is based of a book callled the deathhand chronicles the plan is to add atleast 9 new civilization with there own techtree the trees will also compliment the races ships as each race will have it's own set of ships to battle with the tech tree will look somthing like this

13.dracon empire a race of locas strip mining every planet they come across humans destroyed most of them
14.empire of the redrock race of reptilians that once inhabited mars
15.mars risistence (minor race) small rebellion on mars

we created theses creature to counter the threat of rebellion and they got loose and started attacking things

It might be hard to make a true mod unless there are any movies made from the books you'll most likely have to guess what the ships looked like.But everything ealse would be easy.

i've seen the ships there was a game\freeware made that included all the ships
