moo3 vs GalCiv feature comparison

Hi.. I am planning on buying either moo3 or GalCiv, but I do not know which one to get... What I am most interested in is 1)Both multiplayer and singleplayer experience 2)game complexity and amount of options 3)Battle control?

Also, If you don't have anything intelegent to say, or if you are really angry at somethign at this point, and can not think clearly, do not reply in this thread. ie, I dont want responses such as "oh, this game sucks."

"Yet another baseless allegation."

So there were problems in the production cycle. You are still wrong about what race you pick not affecting the game. You are wrong about always needing a balanced fleet (although I don't know why you would think needing a balanced force is a bad thing...) You are wrong about your strategy not affecting the game. That's the misinformation in your post.

"Now as to your strategy having no effect on the outcome of the game. Tell me oh wise one how can you lose when the ai won't attack even an undefended planet other than senate loss which nearly everyone turns off quickly anyway.?"

First up, your strategy can still affect the game without affecting whether you win or lose. What race you pick, what tech path you follow, how you decide to play and what victory condition you aim for all make the game play differently.
And there's no need to go on about the bad AI, everyone knows the AI sucks at attack, that's why all the fans are waiting for the code patch.

"And last I checked, 21 comes before 28. P.s. Arrogant isn't name calling. Look it up in the dictionary."

In your last post you said you didn't curse him at all.
"Later, he accused me of cursing him out which is also not true."
But now you admit you did but it's ok since he did it first? Sure, that works as long as you're under 5. And 'hater' isn't name calling either, look it up in a dictionary. Your whole argument is baseless.

"Yet I'm a hater for saying the same thing the devs did."

I've never called you a hater and I'm arguing that neither did uber. Where are you getting that I think you are a hater?

Let it go David, its obvious at this point that all PBP is looking for is a fight.

Let him have the last word, in the end its not like anyone is gonna care what any of us said in this thread.

I compared both games extensively before I bought GalCiv.

Multiplayer is the only REAL benefit to Moo3 worth mentioning. Everything else is a very small list of pluses and minuses on both sides.

In the end, GalCiv has much more to offer if you're not looking for multiplayer. Probably the most important thing is replayability (is that a word?)

As far as multiplayer goes...it's a short list of participants with the patience of a fisherman in a desert. If you really want multiplayer, go for a space based MMORPG. For strategy, this turn based can't be beat. FAST and properly tweaked AI's present plenty more challenge than a fellow human who has to sit and think about every move.

For me...I'm impatient waiting for the COMPUTER to think.

I'd probably go insane if I had to wait for one of my dumb friends on the other end of the server.
