Ascension Starbases

I have a savegame where I just destroyed an enemy ascnesion starbase. When I try to move my constructor to build my own base, it just sits there and 'construct' gives me the normal options of military, economy and influence. It should automatically build a new ascension base at the location.

In fact, I just noticed another error:
I upgraded the constructor (while still on the crystal) to a Space Miner. After completing the upgrade, an ascension base got build, but instead of the base symbol, it now has the icon of a space miner in the tactical view.

Both savegames are mailed to gc2bugs.

PS: I can even set the Space Miner Ascension Base to 'Automate'. :D

The ascension starbase issue will clear once you reload the game. I also had run into that scenario in beta 6.

BTW were these errors in beta 6 or beta 6a?

Beta 6a. And reloading didn't fix them so far, neither did closing and restarting GC2.

On a completely unrelated note, my troop transports now stoically seek their way straight through asteroid fields. Combat fleets avoid them, however.

Perhaps it's due to the destruction of the previous base? I had this issue in Beta 5. I think the original owner was able to reclaim it. I also noticed (as the Yor, if that matters) that my starbase was listed as having 0/5 modules, but that sending a new constructor did nothing.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. The whole Ascension mechanic still is new, so I guess there are a few bugs left that may only come to light as more people start playing TA.

Odd. That was all I needed to do to fix it in beta 6.

Was this a game started in beta 6 though? Sorry, my question in my first post didn't cover that part of my thinking lol.
